1959 Buckler Ace | Coronet Hillclimb 2026
Built in Dunedin in 1959, this is one of New Zealand’s most unique competition cars. David Robertson bought the body in 1989, fabricated a fresh chassis in 2005, and dropped in a screaming 1300cc Hayabusa engine to wake it all up. Here it is doing what it was made for — carving through the Central Otago tussock at the Coronet Hillclimb 2026, looking like it’s straight out of another era.
A rare and remarkable piece of New Zealand motorsport history captured in a fine art hillclimb photography print. Perfect for motorsport collectors, classic car enthusiasts, and fans of New Zealand motoring heritage.
